What you can expect

Take to the skies on this enchanting hot air balloon flight over the Yarra Valley. Soar high above one of Australia's most beautiful locations, taking in the picturesque Victorian countryside at sunrise. After a safety briefing with your pilot, you’ll be transported to the launch site and board your beautiful hot air balloon. You’ll also get the opportunity to help prepare the balloon for take-off if you like! After 30 minutes of prep, your balloon will be ready for take-off and you’ll be flying up in the air for approximately one hour. Enjoy views of the mountains, river, and rolling landscape below as the sun rises over Yarra Valley.

Duration
  • The exact time of your Hot Air Balloon flight experience will vary based upon the time of year and will be sent to you upon booking
  • You will meet Picture This Ballooning half an hour before sunrise - call the Weather Check number as the exact time will be confirmed the night before your flight. It is important to be punctual.

  • Please meet for your Balloon flight at 35 Old Healesville Road in Yarra Glen, 3775.
Departure Location
  • The time will be confirmed on the message & we meet at Yarra Valley Lodge, 2 Heritage Ave, Chirnside Park.
What To Bring
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Outdoor clothes recommended (avoid whites)
  • Solid shoes as the ground is often covered with dew in the early morning
Additional Information
  • No particular level of fitness or experience is required but you must be able to stand up for the duration of the flight (approximately one hour)
  • Minimum age is seven years
  • Minimum height 130 cm
  • Not suitable for those who are pregnant, wheelchair users or those recovering from recent surgery
  • You may send someone else in your place if you wish however you must notify the provider of this replacement prior to the flight date
  • The temperature in the balloon is the same as on the ground and you move with the breeze there is no wind chill factor.
  • As ballooning is a weather-dependent activity you will need to check meeting time and weather conditions.
  • The exact meeting time WILL NOT be the time on your booking confirmation, please DO NOT rely on this time.
  • The exact meeting time will be explained by your pilot on the recorded message after 6:30 pm on the evening before your flight.

Cancellation Policy
  • Picture This Ballooning should be notified by telephone 0456 713 732 or email info@picturethisballooning.com.au of any cancellation requests.
  • Please note upon booking that all ticket costs include a non-refundable administration fee of at least $25 per person - this fee is subject to alteration at our discretion
  • A cancellation fee of $50 per ticket will apply.
  • Bookings cancelled within 7 days of a flight departure cannot be refunded.
  • Within 48 hours of the flight departure - No changes or refunds are permitted. We recommend that passengers arrange their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances including being unable to fly due to illness.
  • Under no circumstances will flights be refunded or rescheduled if passengers cancel or do not turn up on the morning of the scheduled flight. You will not be eligible for any refund in part or in full, and may not reschedule your booking to another date
  • A flight may be rescheduled more than 7 days before the flight departure without fees.
  • Between 48 hours and 7 days before the flight departure - a reschedule fee of $50 per person will apply to any flight rescheduled.

  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
  • Mobile Vouchers are accepted! - Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
